Fall Activites...

Not only did Madden start school in September but he also started soccer! He plays once a week on Wednesday evenings and has a few games towards the end of the season. Madden was so excited to get all his soccer gear complete with cleats and shin guards. The first practice was a bit overwhelming for our little guy but he had a blast kicking the soccer ball around with his daddy and friends!

Hanson has been a busy little Bee this fall!! She had to have tubes placed in her ears just like her big brother. She did so well at the hospital and they had us in and out in under 2 hours! As soon as she woke up from her nap she started walking and now we can't get her to stop!! She is nonstop walking and getting in to everything...she is definitely busy and way more active than Madden ever was at this age (14 months)!! But she always has a smile on her face and you can't help but smile back!!

Madden starts Preschool...

We had a wonderful summer but we are so excited about the start of school. Madden will be going to school on Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's from 9am until 1pm. He has two new teachers, Ms. Daley and Ms. Veazey, which he really likes a lot. Several of his friends are in his class from last year as well as a few friends from camp this summer! Madden does so many fun things at school like go to music class, gym class and chapel. They are learning to write their names and learning about all the different letters in the alphabet and their sounds! We are so proud of him!

Summer

We had such a great summer and I can't even believe how quickly it went by! We spent lots of the time at the pool with friends, playing at the playground and of course spending time over at Papa and Mimi's. It was so nice to not have a schedule and spend the day as we went along! Madden continues to amaze me with all that he says and does...he is getting so big. Hanson is cruising all over the place and has taken 5-6 steps at a time but still prefers to crawl since she is flashing lightning on knees!!

San Diego

Our second trip to the beach this summer was to San Diego to visit Grandpa David and Lindsay and of course Aunt Corky!! It was a long flight out there but so worth it when we arrived. The weather was beautiful and we spent long days down at the beach or going for bike rides around the bayside. Our really great friends, The Turners, were down there the same week so we had a great time hanging out with them down at the beach! Aunt Corky took time off towards the end of the week to spend time with us. She took us to a really great restaurant called The Corvette Diner, where we ate great food and played lots of fun games! We also took the kids to Sea World and they loved it!! On the last day we went down to the Belmont Amusement Park and let the kids ride on the Carousel and play some games...lil B loved the Carousel with Grandpa David! We had such a wonderful trip and can't wait to go back next summer!

Hanson turns One!

Our baby girl turns one!! We had a huge party to celebrate her big day. Erik's family came in town to help us celebrate along with my family (poor Mimi was sick and Aunt Corky had to work). We invited lots of close family friends to our house for a bumblee bee themed party. Baby B was adorned in her special birthday outfit of black and yellow made by Ms. Ashley (mommy's friend). We had the bubble man come to help entertain all the kids...what kid doesn't love bubbles!! Baby B had an absolute blast at her party and so did Madden!! We feel so blessed to have been showered with so much love on our precious baby girl's birthday!!

Myrtle Beach

To kick off the start of summer we went to Myrtle Beach in June! We stayed in our favorite beach house with Papa, Mimi and Uncle Jeff. The Barton clan stayed about a mile North of us in Garden City. The kids had an absolute blast down at the beach. They loved playing in the sand with all their beach toys and loved playing in the water...especially lil B! We loved walking down to our favorite ice cream spot and take walks on the pier to look at the sharks! We enjoyed spending time with family and feel so blessed we can see God's beauty through our children's eyes!

Madden turns 3!!

We can't even believe our big boy turned three! We had so much fun celebrating his birthday and the entire Berg Clan came in for the party. On Madden's actual 3rd Birthday we went to Chuckie Cheese. Mimi came with us to help celebrate along with his buddy Reynolds and her lil sis Milly! We had a blast riding all the rides and playing all the games and of course eating pizza! When we got home, Madden and mommy baked a cake and put lots of sprinkles on top! We had a yummy birthday dinner when daddy got home from work and then got to eat our cake!! That weekend everyone came in town to celebrate. We had Mad's birthday party at Zamba Funland (P. Diddy had his daughters birthday there, too!!) which is a huge bouncy, game place. Lots of Madden's friends came to help celebrate and bounce the day away!! Madden was showered with lots of gifts and we all had a great time celebrating!
